6 Step Home Face Cleaning Routine

Everyone wants flawless skin but not many people actually put in the effort needed to achieve it. Most people lead busy lifestyles that leave little to no time for pampering at the salon. In addition, most of us won’t even set aside 20 minutes for a proper skin cleansing routine. No matter which skin type you may have, a regular cleaning routine will ensure that you have radiant, healthy skin. Beauty ‘N Fashion has put together a six-step guide for daily skin cleansing that will leave your skin looking beautiful.

Step One- Cleansing

It’s important to clean your face properly if you want bright and glowing skin. Use a face wash or cleanser to thoroughly clean your skin then pat, not rub, until your face is dry. Hot water may feel good, but it will dry out your skin much quicker than warm or cold water. After washing, use a cotton round soaked with cleansing milk to clean away leftover dirt and unclog your pores.

Step Two- Steaming

Steaming is a great way to help loosen oils and dirt from your skin. Boil some water or use a steam machine to create vapor. Next, place a large towel over your head and allow your skin to soak up the steam for at least five minutes. Afterward, use a tissue to gently wipe away the steam and leftover dirt from the surface of your skin. To revitalize your skin after steaming, rub an ice cube in circular motions over your skin. This will tighten your pores and reduce the temperature after this skin cleansing step.

Step Three – Scrubbing

Using a face scrub is a great way to get rid of dead skin cells. You can make your own from sugar and honey or you can purchase a premixed exfoliating cream. Scrub your whole face gentle for at least five minutes and then allow the mixture to sit on your skin for an additional three minutes. When you wash it off, you will notice brighter and softer skin.

Step Four- Face Mask

Face masks can be beneficial for all types of skin. They can help improve your skin tone while softening the skin at the same time. As well, face masks are great for removing excess oils and minimizing your pores. After use, you will notice immediate results in your skin leaving you with absolutely glowing skin.

Step Five -Toning

Toning is the perfect way to restore the balance to your skin after the above cleaning steps. You can purchase a toner that targets your specific skin issues, or you can make one at home. Rosewater and cucumber juice are easy to mix at home. Using a toner is great to restore the natural pH balance of your skin.

Step Six- Moisturizing

Washing and cleansing your face removes a lot of its natural moisture. It’s important to use a moisturizing cream on your neck and face as the last part of your cleansing routine. Make sure the one you use is mild, unscented and doesn’t contain parabens or alcohol for the best results.
